Being Grateful.

Ok, so here it is, what to write about today? I must say I have been enjoying my time of writing out my thoughts on a blog, and although I don't know if I could call myself a writer and I have that fun sort of feeling that maybe I could do. Well you never know.

But, trying to come up with things to write about is not that easy sometimes but like a lot of things once you start you can really ramble along which can be fun in itself. And maybe that is something to be grateful for and I think that is where this post is going to head towards. When you sit down and think about it there are a lot of things to be really grateful for, especially for people that live in western countries and that is not to say that we are superior in anyway but it is more to say that we really should not complain about anything. Really, come on!

We have more privileges and freedoms here than we can shake a stick at. You can literally do whatever you want the only thing that can stop you is yourself. So what are we waiting for. Is it the fact that it is sometimes easier to complain than to do? Maybe that too, or is it that we get in that routine. I know for myself that old routine thing seems to slow me up and stop me from doing things. Need to get over that one.

I have my health, a roof over my head and work to do, what more can you ask for. Well ok, lets be honest, lots more, but also lets be honest as well and think right down to the basics and say there can be a limit and maybe being happy with what you have is important and that will open up new possibilities and the chance of things to come into your life.

Things do work in mysterious ways and there are forces at play that we can't explain and maybe I need to tune into those a lot more often and go with the flow, because it is a flow and bucking the trend is probably going to make it harder. I am talking about the energy flow and not bucking the trend of ideas or processes, as changes to those are important. Ahh, jeesh it gets more confusing doesn't it.

That's what makes it interesting though. We have this capability to do so much and figuring things out can sometimes try and get in the way? Go with the energy flow. The energy flow will help you along, even without you knowing it.

Other things to be grateful for, here is my daughter Nicole, this was taken at Fan Expo this weekend. I am eternally grateful for her, God bless her kind and radiant heart.

How do you say what you do? (Give your self credit)

Its been a while since I have blogged and I decided to answer the burning question by Danielle LaPorte.

Now I started thinking about this one the other day, and I was also giving it some thought on my walk to my local Starbucks, which is my regular blogging spot and writing place. Don't ask me why I like to write there, you’d think it would be somewhere quiet but it feels good to be here listening to some music and enjoying a coffee.

Back to the question. So thinking about this one, on the surface we are talking about our job, profession, business or what have you. But I wanted to look deeper than that. Maybe thats just the way I am or I am looking for more? Your job/business is what you do, but does it fully define you? At the end of the day it is a means to make money and survive and live. Now yes I know that lots of people are going to say that it is much more than that. But maybe bear with me a bit longer.

Well is it? Is it the be all and end all? Lets look more at our purpose to be here and maybe this is where the answer really lies. We were not put here to work in an office tower or dig ditches, but just maybe we were put here on earth for a purpose. And yes that comes back to this God thing, creator or whatever you may choose to call it. This I think is the key, the work, creating wealth and working is part of serving and it needs to be looked at in that way, it needs to be considered a source of service. Service to mankind and helping to advance a forever advancing civilization. I believe we are here to grow closer to God and to serve mankind. Doing our work is a form of worship and is aiding that cause. Work is worship and a service to humanity.

So here is the statement - "I am here on a journey to serve humankind and to grow ever closer to our Creator and bring value and light to all the people I come in contact, whether through my business or personal dealings. I do this through kindness, sharing, consultation and collaboration."

What do you think, tell me your thoughts.

Bahai's and Worship.
